Chapter 3 [2016 – 2018]
A Most-Needed Departure
In 2016, the band decided to part ways with label and partner “Powerback Productions”. The band was committed to developing a name within the local scene before being able to promote their efforts in American soil.
Most of 2016 and 2017 were dedicated to consolidating the bands live performance aspect while working on a new album. Svet Kant continued to tour locally both in headlining shows and festival appearances across the Emerald Isle.
New Album: “The Visage Unbiased”
After months of learning and development, the album was scheduled for recording. The place to record: TrackMix Recording Studios. By the hand of talented Michael Richards, and due to time constraints, the band tracked and mixed the album between August and December 2017.
The sophomore album was Mastered at Sterling Sound studios by Ted Jensen, and during the year 2018 the band promoted two singles out of it: “A Gaze Indifferent to Your Suffering” and “The Cogs of Envy”.
Both songs were accepted with great enthusiasm by the audience. In the time being, record labels and promoters were contacted.
Mother Russia
In April 2018, the band was approached by a Russian booking agent about the possibilities of organising a 10-dates headliner tour. Even the band was in the process of finishing details of the new album, this opportunity was not wasted. In June and July 2018 the band toured across several Russian Republics as a three-piece given time and family constraints by bassist Paul. Santiago filled in the position of the bass player while doing vocals, and Daragh and Liam continued to deliver their substantial and priceless skills.
More Home Gigs
Upon arrival on Irish soil, and after their first International tour, Svet Kant continued with performances around the country in festivals, headlining shows, and as support for International touring bands.
The years 2016 to 2018 closed as a consolidating period, seeing the band play and tour over 40 shows and venues both Nationally and Internationally, despite not being even five years old.
